Tomtes are little Scandinavian elves, quite mischievous but resourceful and willing to sort out situations if not taken for granted. They are very rarely seen – never by grown-ups.
Jamie and Emily enlist their help in taking care of ancient woods, and of farm animals in these children’s stories, beautifully illustrated by Brenda Tyler.
